Polka Dot Closet with Urban Walls

Happy New Year! I’ve been slowly working away at Crew’s nursery, and I really love it even though there’s still some (big) finishing touches left to add. There’s been a few reasons I’ve been holding off on installing the final pieces, but completing his closet is one thing I decided to tackle regardless. That was mostly because the polka dots are adorable decals that peel right off if I need them to. They are zero commitment but also super easy and quick to install. My kind of project! Since Crew’s nursery is on the smaller side, I really wanted each and every corner of it to be beautiful. Urban Walls was so kind to send over these polka dots for us to use, and I immediately thought of adding a little whimsy to his closet with them. It’s one of my favourite spots in a baby’s room; folding and hanging and organizing all of those adorable tiny clothes is something I love so much.

Nursery Closet Makeover

Urban Walls has a bunch of sizes of the dots in every colour you can imagine; I chose the mini polka dots in light grey for reference (find them here). I started by mapping out an even pattern with a measuring tape, making a little mark with a pencil for the center of each dot. After that, I applied each decal, peeled off it’s backing, and the whole process flew by. I am so thrilled with how it turned out! It makes me so happy to peek in there that I usually just leave his closet door open, unless I’m way behind on laundry which happens pretty often too, lol.

I have another adorable wallpaper (also peel and stick!) that I’ve been saving for behind Crew’s crib, but time will tell where it ends up!  If you’re looking for an affordable way to make your little’s room (or any space in your home for that matter) extra special, you can browse the Urban Walls collection here. I also love scrolling through their Instagram account for inspiration. I’m dying to get a playroom set up for the boys so that I can use these golden apples in it! In the meantime, Crew and I are pretty content rocking away in Cohen’s old rocking chair, staring at this sweet little closet. PS – Baby bathrobes you guys. Has anything cuter ever even been invented?
